Jakarta, 22/08/2016 MoF – As of 20 August 2016, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) recorded 6,896 Statement of Assets (SPH) with a total redemptions of IDR857 billion. It increased significantly over the first two weeks of Tax Amnesty program in July which was 344 SPH.
“The average daily SPH received in July 2016 was 34, increased to 190 in the first week of August, 469 in the second week, and 814 in the third week of August 2016,” explained the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati at press conference on Tax Amnesty Progress in Djuanda Hall, MoF on Monday (22/08).
Meanwhile, the tax amnesty program is targeting all segments of taxpayer, namely SMEs Taxpayer at 546, non-SMEs taxpayer at 1,242, SMEs individual taxpayer at 2,205, and non-SMEs individual taxpayer at 3,237.
Moving forward, MoF will continue increasing its service on Tax Amnesty before the deadline of 2 percent ended in late September 2016. Directorate General of Taxes has extended the service hour to 7 days a week. “Maybe a lot of taxpayers working on weekdays, so we extend (service hour) beyond the working day,” she said. (as)
